Me, or the OP? (sorry to hijack the thread!)
Quite a lot - I've done a fair bit with projection mapping and multi-surface video playback using other applications from MacOS and never had similar issues, so I'm fairly sure this is specific to DCP-O-Matic. The environment I'm using it in uses QLab extensively, with QLab's control interface being on the main screen and outputting to projectors and we've never had similar issues.
Indeed I've been known to work around this by converting DCP to ProRes and playing out from QLab, but I'd rather be able to play the raw DCP to avoid the additional couple of hours necessary to transcode files before screening them.

Okay, yes, there may also be large differences there between different Mac OS versions, Intel vs. Apple Silicon, etc. Carl would probably like DOM player to be a fully capable presentation player, but I guess it's not that easy, especially for a multi-platform software. I myself always considered it more a verification/QC option. For presentation, the best solution currently seems to be NeoDCP.
