Hello,
We've been making trailer DCPs, and I've noticed that some of the 2.0 content seems to play out of Center and Subwoofer tracks only when decoded with Pro-Logic? Any insight into this? Not all the 2.0 files do this, just some.

Re: 2.0 Channel DCPs
Hmm, why should anything stereo play out the center without Dolby Prologic applied? That is just normal. Most cinemas use a 1:1 channel routing, so Stereo audio simply plays out L and R.
If you only get Stereo source footage, then use DCP-o-matics Mid/Side Decoder.

Since you are using a Pro-Logic decoder, it is doing its job. If the audio on the Left/Right are substantially the same, the PL decoder will, correctly, decode that to mono and play out of center.

Thanks, that does make sense. I will try the mid-side decoder and see how that works.
Thanks!
Thanks!
