Encrypted or unencrypted ?

Hi Carl, unless modifying the film title by keying a Crypt/Open suffix prone to mistaken entries,
I can't differentiate the (un)encrypted status of two DCP packages made for the same film
(and there is no hint about their encryption status in the j2c.mxf file either).

Example: Sarah5fps film DCPised with/without encryption:

I suggest you manually rename folder after DCP creation.

Manually renaming the package ? such an after the fact operation is precisely what I would avoid ;
and the DCP itself (within the renamed package) would then not be stamped by its (un)crypted status.

Nothing can prevent me to write CRYPTAA or OPENAA as my AA-STUD name in the allocated "studio" field
of the CPL string : not a big deal to automatically insert it when I choose to encrypt the DCP.
As said by an authority on these matters: " I think you can (ab)use 'studio' any way you like.
There is a list but I very much doubt any cinema servers are checking for "approved" studio codes."

I am pretty sure the list of studios (annex5 of the 2013 convention) is already obsolete...
Don't forget this string is made for the peace of mind of the theater projectionists,
not for server police, why not to eliminate possible mistakes in the jobs of DCP and DKDM makers?

I would suggest adding "enc" string to mxf file name for encrypted DCPs and "unenc" or none for unencrypted. Most commercial DCPs use that sort of naming.

I did not overlook that. But it is a standard and DOM has good practice of complying with it.

Adding something to MXF filename is not a bad idea. Or renaming folder name manually - that does not affect CPL name (annotationtext) and is human readable.
