Burn subtitles on encrypted DCP

Post by AQR10 »

Hello,

I want to burn the subtitles that I just made into the image of a DCP that a client just sent me. The problem is that the DCP is encrypted, so in DCP-o-matic I can only see the subs running normally but I don't have the image! Its just a black screen. What can I do? If I export it like this and then ingest the KDM on a projector will it work or would it be just a black image with subs for 2 hours? Please help :(

UPDATE: I received a KDM from the lab but now I have the following error message:

This KDM was not made for DCP-o-matic's decryption certificate.

What can I tell the lab?

Thank you

You need to go to the Keys tab of Preferences, click "Export KDM decryption leaf certificate", send the lab that file and then ask them to make you a new KDM.
