I make a great many DCPs of short films for a travelling festival using DOM and a M1 MacBook Pro. In the last batch all DCPs were validated in DOM Player and then cloned to the customer's hard drive. These DCPs were then loaded into a Dolby IMS3000 and checked again. All are good and all play fine.
The client also uses DOM Player to verify these DCPs and many are reporting the following error.
The <Main Picture Active Area> is not a multiple of two or is bigger than the asset.
This client runs Windows and has upgraded to DOM 2.18.13 with the same result.
About the only "odd" thing about these DCPs is that most of them have on-screen image areas that do not fill the Scope or Flat containers as they have other aspect ratios. We supply the whole program in either Scope or Flat depending on the cinema's screen shape but the individual movies may be any other shape young creatives might choose to use eg S-185 or F-239 etc.
Can anyone decode this message and explain what it means and how it's arising on DCPs that are otherwise reporting to be fine?

Re: DOM error message
What version of DCP-o-matic are you using to create the DCPs? This is not an especially serious error (as far as I know) but DCP-o-matic should not (these days) create DCPs that have it...
