IMAX DCP frame rate?

Hello all,

I am doing some backdoor consulting on a project headed to IMAX for a museum. The show was shot at 29.97. The producer has now learned that IMAX DCPs might be limited to true 24 fps. Is that true? I am having trouble finding solid documentation on this. Anyone have experience in this? The preferred method would be a 30 fps. Going to true 24 will require a LOT of work.

29,97 should work as 30fps DCP. However, IMAX systems are slightly different from standard DCI systems and I have no first-hand experience with 30fps DCPs on IMAX systems. IMAX systems are closed and as such notoriously non-documented.
