ICMP-X module dead

Post by Kewl »

So, yesterday, we had a tech over for our Barco SP4K 12C maintenance. Weeks prior, we had some issues with HD no 2, with some errors reported, but no HD failure per se. Result of the maintenance: the ICMP-X module has to ne replaced all together. The projector was installed 1.5 year ago, with real usage beginning in September 2022.

My question: has anybody here seen or heard of such a failure on such a young Barco projector?

I took the liberty of editing your title so Google doesn't get any funny ideas about DoM killing hardware!

This is not the right forum for strictly hardware related questions. You should bring this up e.g. on film-tech.com

The module will be replaced, so it's only a problem for a few days, but I thought that maybe you would have to say something about this. That's why I posted here.

All I can say is that ICMPs are not known for premature death issues.
