Max film length for USB stick

Post by funkytwig »

I did find this a while ago but can't find it again. My understanding is it should be FAT32 so the max file size is 4GB.

So what sized film should fit on a USB drive? Guess there is not mutch point in using one bigger than 8GB.

NTFS is fine, and that way it can be any realistic size. Just that for anything larger than a short film, copy time grows painfully long.

As a rule of thumb, a 'typical' DCP will consume roughly 1,5GByte per minute runtime.
