Which NEC certificate to use for generating KDM?

Post by Guddu »

I requested for a server certificate from NEC and the ZIP file they sent me has 6 certificates in all.

NP-90MS02_340410_1_(Leaf).pem
NP-90MS02_340410_2.pem
NP-90MS02_340410_3.pem
NP-90MS02_340410_4.pem
NP-90MS02_340410_5.pem
NP-90MS02_340410_6_(Root).pem

Which one of these shall i load in DOM KDM Tool?

I am a bit confused about what appear to be so many intermediate certificates, but in general, the leaf certificate is the right one to choose.

While the NEC IMS is a Doremi OEM server, the 340410 number seems to be a valid Doremi/Dolby serial, and it is possible to fetch a bunch of certificates from the Dolby certificate site for that number. I would assume, these address the same server...

In that case, they are not numbered like yours when downloaded from Dolby, but designated for different applications. You may compare those with your certificates. I can't believe your's are actually mostly intermediate certs. I think the original file names/designations have been lost. But as long as you are sure you have a valid server leaf certificate, you should be fine.

Where did you obtain this list of certificates?
