Hi all pro guys,
I'm new to film distribution, the film owner said he will give me a DCP and a DKDM.
I read a lot about it and arrived here for the software.
The film owner asked me for a PEM cert, and I understand that I need that to receive the DKDM, and later when I generate KDM for a theatre, I will need the theatre's PEM.
But, how do I obtain my own PEM cert to receive the DKDM?
I tried to Google it, but the results seem not so related...
Thanks in advance for your answer.

Re: Get a PEM cert for DCP-o-matic
It's a kind of a handshake process - you give the film owner the PEM/certificate of your DCP-o-matic installation (unique - so make sure you backup your config/prefs). The film owner can then issue a DKDM that enables you to use the movie in your DCP-o-matic installation. When you distribute the film, your role changes - theatre owners have to submit THEIR PEMs/certs to you, so you can issue KDMs towards them. Technically, DKDM and KDM is the same - the DKDM is just 'meant' for distribution, and a KDM is 'meant' for a projection system.

Re: Get a PEM cert for DCP-o-matic
Thanks carl, I saw from your instruction and the link, both say "Export DCP decryption certificate..."
But in my version of DCP-o-matic, it says "Export KDM decryption leaf certificate..." (Screenshot attached, the first button)
Are they the same?

Yes, same thing, I just renamed it at some point.
