Hi everyone.
I've searched quite a bit, but am still unsure about this issue.
Is it possible to read/see an encrypted DCP, on the player or on another software? Most specifically, a DCP in which its KDM is set for a projector (for a screening).
Thanks!

Re: Read encypted DCP
You need a KDM which is made for the thing you're playing on, otherwise it's impossible. So the KDM for a projector will only work for that projector.

Hi Carl, thanks for the swift response. So there's no way around it,I see. But would it be possible with a DKDM?

Yes indeed, a DKDM is just a normal KDM that is made for a computer/mastering system (e.g. DCP-o-matic) rather than a projector.
If someone can make you a DKDM, targeted at DCP-o-matic's (or some other player's) certificate, you can play the DCP.
