Hi all,
Just converted a video file to DCP as I have many times before. The transcode ran OK over 15hrs, and the completed output file is 151GB. But my laptop only had about 90GB free when I started, and with the process complete, my laptop still has 14GB remaining. So how is the output file 151GB???
Best,
Sam
My completed output file is larger than my PC has space for...?

Hi Sam,
For various reasons there is a hard-linked copy of the video of your DCP inside the DCP-o-matic project folder. Hard-linked means that it looks like there are two copies of the file but in fact they are the same file with two different names.
Here's a slightly fuller explanation.
The actual DCP should only be about 75Gb (this part of the manual tries to explain the various files).
