Just saw this:

I thought the join function would correctly connect fragmented video files, as segmented MTS, VOB, files etc,, when simply using them in sequence without JOIN would yield different results (image/audio breaks).
What is the code actually doing? I admit, I do use it when converting segmented video pulled directly from my Sony camera.

I'd leave it in, I guess it is good to have for direct DVD conversion (multiple segmented VOB files). That's probably where it came from in the first place. Even if used rarely, I think it's great to have that function in DCP-o-matic, as it follows the 'convert from everything' approach.
