Name of acts/reels visible in cinema?

Post by Dusk »

Hi there!

I have created a DCP with dcpomatic with multiple acts/reels. Each reel/act is a new film. For example:

Content in DCP-oMatic:
TestFilm1
TestFilm2
TestFilm3
TestFilm4

Name of the DCP: TestFilm1234_.....

The DCP plays all films/reels after testing. But what will be shown in the cinema in the playlist after opening
the DCP? Is it possible to see the individual reels/acts and to choose one of them or even stop after one played
reel? How do I configure dcp-o-matic, that it will show the name of the film/act, for example "TestFilm2" ?

The name of the reels wont be visable in the cinema. The only title that is visable is the name of the dcp. It has nothing with to do with DoM. The reel is kind of background process. In the cinema you can skip to next reel but the reels will not have visable names.

If you want individual access to your individual reels at the cinema, then create a DCP for each content file. They can be concatenated in a playlist at the cinema to play sequentially, if that is desirable. Reel names are invisible to the normal operator on every DCI server.
