Aspect ratio on Full Container not labled as C

Post by phili2p »

Hi Carl,

I just noticed by chance that when choosing the 1.90:1 Full Container, the ISDCF name gets _F-full-frame_ and not _C_ as it is recommended by the ISDCF (http://isdcf.com/dcnc/home/appendix-7-p ... ratio.html)
But I might be wrong.
I'm still (test) version 2.11.27.

Best wishes
Philipp

This seems to be a leftover from http://dcpomatic.com/mantis/view.php?id=1118

The first, container designation is correct, depending on wether you choose Full, Flat or Scope - it is C, F, or S. The second, internal aspect ratio designator indeed goes wrong for an internal scaling to full container (1.90:1), but only for non-full container types:

Carl fixed something in recent versions, but it seems he missed this one.

Test_ADV-1_C-239_20_2K_20171115_IOP_OV
Test_ADV-1_S-full-frame_20_2K_20171115_IOP_OV

It seems there is an internal placeholder 'full-frame' for 1.90

Admittedly, it doesn't make much sense to put a full container aspect ratio into anything else than a full container (where DOM correctly creates
Test_ADV-1_C_20_2K_20171115_IOP_OV. But maybe not every 1.90 source is actually meant to be played in a full container.

I'll reopen that bug in Mantis.
