Hard Time with Resolutions in 4K

Post by IliasMimo »

Hello everybody,

I am trying to export my movie from Premiere Pro. The project is in Scope resolution: 4096x1744 and I use DNxHR HQ 8bit for the export. When I import it on DCPoMatic it gives this error: Could not find Pixel format for this video.

Any ideas what I should do? I tried some normal 16x9 DNxHRHQ 8bit exports and works fine. It has to do with the resolution I use.

Thanks a lot,
Ilias

DNxHR is certainly a bit on the exotic side, FFMPEG may not support all of these special codecs. Are you doing this export only for the DCP conversion? If yes, you should be able to find similar codecs, like Prores444.

If you forward a short snippet of your 4k DNxHR HQ to Carl, he may have a look to fix it.

As Carsten says, can you make a short clip which demonstrates the problem and email it to me? carl@dcpomatic.com
