My video is 1920X1080p at 59.94fps. I plan to show this in only one theater which uses the Barco DP2K-20C projector. According to the spec, it should show 1080p 2D video up to 60fps. I am just getting started with DCP-o-matic and it appears that it supports 60fps which is very close. Is there an option in the latest version to use 59.94? If not, I am assuming that it would adjust the sound for the slight change from 59.94 to 60. Any assistance is very much appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: What frame rate to use for 59.94fps video
While the projector itself is able to display 60fps, the playback server may be a bottle neck. You need to find out which server they use with that projector.
DCI projectors will not play 59,94fps, DCP-o-matic will convert this frame rate to 60fps automatically, incl. sound resampling.
Are you able to supply a Test-DCP to the cinema, is it close to you so you can run a quick test with a 60fps DCP?

Re: What frame rate to use for 59.94fps video
Thanks for the response. I am about 10 miles from the theatre, so I can visit it easily. The show is scheduled for October 11th, so we have time to do some testing. In addition to wanting to use 60fps, the video has a lot of action and I would like to use the maximum (or close to the maximum) of 250Mbs if possible. Another thing to test.
As I learn more about DCP and JPEG2000, I am now realizing that if I used 30fps instead of 60fsp, I would have twice as many bits per frame since each frame is encoded separately, but I don't know how the video would look at 30fps. I suppose that I could make a 30fps mp4 and take a look. Any experience on using 30fps playback for a 59.94fps source (after reencoding of course)?
On a different subject, do you know when DCP-o-matic will use an Nvidia GPU in Windows 11? I have an RTX6000 and it is not being used for the DCP encode.
Thanks.
