Dear community,
First of all, Huge thanks to Carl and all the volunteers for this amazing project.
We’re running a small three-day film festival and need reliable software to play DCPs during screenings.
We’ll use a dedicated computer with a Blackmagic video card. Our current projector is a Panasonic PT-MZ880, although we will rent a 2K-capable projector for the festival. Are my concerns justified, or am I being overly conservative?
I’m a little hesitant to use DaVinci Resolve or DCP-o-matic's player as the actual DCP player, so I’d appreciate recommendations from anyone with experience running DCP screenings this way. Are my concerns justified, or am I being overly conservative?
What software would you recommend for stable DCP playback?
Thank you in advance
Low cost/free DCP playback software

I don't have any direct experience; testing with your particular equipment would be a good idea. Some have reported that the DCP-o-matic player works fine.
An alternative would be to use DCP-o-matic to convert to MP4 or MOV and then play those?

NeoDCP is used a lot by festivals. But it's neither free nor low cost.
