I don't usually have to approve private messages. Do you already have 50 in your inbox? I think after that it stops delivering them until you clear some out. Or I could increase the limit!

You are right, I have fifty, I'll remove some...
@StephW999 - I have downloaded your software, I'll give it a try later today at the cinema.

Re: Special rewrapping of OV/VF assets
@Stéphane:
I tried it, but so far no success on the Sony side. I keep getting a confusing error about an invalid path ('Der Verzeichnisname ist ungültig') right after I select the CPL. I can continue, select a new folder for the new package, and it writes new metadata. When I replace the original metadata with the newly generated in the folder that carries also the assets, the Sony will ingest the new package, but says (in grey) 'No CPL'. The package is ingested in seconds, but the Sony then also marks the ingested package with no CPL. So, it doesn't ingest the assets, just an empty package?
Also not sure wether I am doing everything right. When I start the exe, I select the original CPL from a folder that contains all metadata and assets of the incomplete DCP (VF + necessary OV assets). When I click on 'Faire le Package', I need to select a destination folder. I create a new temporary folder, and new metadata files are written to it. I then replace the original VF metadata with the newly generated metadata files (next to the assets). Is that the way I need to do it?
I include the two metadata file sets as attachments.
The necessary assets are
22Bahnen_FTR_S_DE-XX_DE-NR_51_2K_CFV_20250626_PAN_SMPTE_OV_01.mxf
22Bahnen_FTR_S_DE-XX_DE-NR_71_2K_CFV_20250627_PAN_SMPTE_VF_01_audio.mxf
(single reel DCP)

Sorry, I hadn't noticed the updated software before I sent my previous post. I'll try it with the update!

Seems to work better with the updated version - I don't get the 'invalid path' error, and the Sony is now ingesting the video MXF. Let's see...

Re: Special rewrapping of OV/VF assets
I think you did the right thing!
What I recommend is removing only the files (PKL & ASSEtmap) from the original folder and putting them in a temporary folder or the Recycle Bin.
Leave only the CPL file and all the resources there (original folder).
With the program:
1) Select the CPL file from the original folder.
2) Click on "Faire le package" and select the original folder.
The original folder will then be complete, with its original CPL file and its new PKL and ASSETMAP files.
Note: When you select the CPL file (step 1), the program displays the title and its UUID. If this doesn't appear, the CPL file is corrupted.
The program will then analyze this CPL file and see what files it needs.
That's why it's important to leave the CPL file and its resources in the same original folder, before start process.

Re: Special rewrapping of OV/VF assets
Okay, I needed some time to get my hands on an unencrypted package. Now I found a suitable one that contains multiple reels, and even subs. So, I will try it again.

Re: Special rewrapping of OV/VF assets
Okay - it does work!
Well done, Stéphane!
I will need to test this once again with an encrypted package that I have still working keys for.
Could we put this up somewehere for download? What's your opinion on that?
I doubt it is of enough relevance to create another DCP-o-matic tool from it (unless other functions could be added as well).
