Verifier on Ubuntu 25.10 missing "Verify" button
Hey, the Verifier for the DCP-o-matic Ubuntu 25.10 release seems to be missing the actual "verify" button (see attached picture). Am I missing something?

You could try making the window bigger, perhaps (then it might appear...?) I've seen this happen - I will look into it.

Tank you for the reply Carl, the button does not appear when I make the window bigger (or smaller) unfortunately.

I'm struggling to reproduce this now. Are you using 2.18.34? What is your screen resolution?

Re: Verfier on Ubuntu 25.10 missing "Verify" button
I was able to reproduce the matter on Windows 11, by choosing to have the window fill the quarter of the screen. That is 1440/2=720 pixels high.
So, maybe it's indeed relevant to resolution and not to operating system.
I gave it a try to change the ratio between the higher vs the lower panel. There wasn't such an ability/handle. That could have been a workaround.

I don't see this on my (Sierra) Mac in 2.18.34). Resizing the window renders the buttons dynamically, but they never disappear.

Re: Verfier on Ubuntu 25.10 missing "Verify" button
To clarify: this concerns the 2.18.34 release of DCP-o-matic. I did some tests and I was able to reproduce the issue across different OSes and machines. It seems to be an issue with resolution and fractional scaling.
On a laptop with a 1920x1080 screen, the verify button disappears on:
-Windows 11 with 125% scaling
-Ubuntu 25.10 with 125% scaling (GNOME desktop, Wayland display server protocol)
-Debian 13 with 125% scaling (GNOME+Wayland)
In all these cases, setting the scaling to 100% will make the button reappear. Interestingly, on Kubuntu 24.04 (KDE Plasma 6, X11) as well as 25.10 (Plasma, Wayland) the button doesn't disappear with 125% scaling. On 25.10 it does get shifted to the right a bit and 24.04 could be an outlier since KDE Plasma is the only Linux desktop that allows for fractional scaling with X11, as far as I know at least. Anyways...
I was also able to reproduce this issue by messing with the resolution of the monitor of my Windows 11 desktop PC. At 1920x1080 with 125% scaling the button disappears, but at 100% it's fine. With 100% scaling, the highest resolution where the button disappears is 144x900, at 1440x1000 the button is still there.
The desktop has an AMD Ryzen CPU with NVIDIA graphics card and the laptop has an intel CPU with integrated graphics, so in terms of hardware the two machines are pretty different.
I hope this helps!

So, does this happen with earlier versions of Verifier?

Can you try this .deb and see if it works any better?
