Using 15th gen Intel for making dcp's?

Using 15th gen Intel for making dcp's?

Hi everyone,

I work at a small arthouse theater in Amsterdam and we use DCP o matic a lot. Our computer really needs an upgrade though (i5 7400 lol).

I was wondering whether the 15th generation of Intel processors works well with DCP o matic because i couldnt find any testresults on the newest gen over at this page: https://dcpomatic.com/benchmarks/

I was thinking about getting an Intel core ultra 7 265 cpu
Or am i better off buying an i7-14700?

Does anyone have experience with the 15th gen intel? would you recommend it?

The Intel Core Ultra 7 265 processors work very well with DoM.
A comparative test:
Intel Core Ultra 7 265 (20 Threads) 180 Watts = 50 fps
Intel Core i7-14700 (28 Threads) 200 Watts = 40 fps
Intel Core i9-14900 (32 Threads) 220 Watts = 45 fps
