I am getting DCP folders that have been created by something orher than DCP O Matic and they will not load in the player.
The folders look like the attached image and often are received as a zip file
Does anyone know what is up with these? Is it the zip?

That looks like DCP-o-matic but they packaged up the wrong files. They've given you DCP-o-matic's working files, but not the actual DCP.
There's a diagram to try and explain here:

So is that a mistake in how they created the DCP on their end? I’m getting these a bit more frequently

OK, it appears that this is a mistake in what their packaging to send. I get it now. Somehow they are not sending the folder with the OV file but another combination of files from the main folder? Is that it?

Maybe they created it ok, but sent you the wrong files. Or maybe they didn't create it at all..
We could tell a bit by looking in the log file.
Unfortunately DCP-o-matic leaves you a bit on your own when it comes to sending the DCP to someone else

We see a DCP-o-matic project folder called "DCP Test" with some stuff inside (metadata.xml, info etc.) which they sent you, but which you do not need, and there's a folder called DCP-TEST-EN-..... which is the actual DCP, which is what they should have sent to you.

The party sending you these files have not understood what a DCP is. You should explain it to them.

Hello,
I noticed from your screen shot that there is a ZIP-File "BetweenDaysEN.zip".
It might be that the creator of the DCP just 'compressed' the OV into it, something one would do to transfer it over the internet?
Kind regards
Max

Re: Getting unusable DCP folders
From the identation, it appears that the folders we see are the extracted files from that ZIP. If the ZIP would be part of the folder/files, it should be further to the right.
