Hello,
I’m currently using DCP-o-matic Player 2.18 to check the audio of a DCP I created. I set the audio to 6 channels (5.1) in DCP-o-matic, and the program shows 6 channels in the DCP creation step.
However, when I open the DCP in the Player, I cannot find any menu, option, or view to check the individual audio channels. There is no Audio menu, no Audio meters, no Waveform view that shows the 6 channels, and nothing under View seems relevant.
I’ve also tried version 2.16.95, but I still cannot find any option in the Player to inspect audio channels. I want to make sure that the DCP really contains 5.1 audio and not just a stereo file packaged in a 6-channel container.
Could someone please clarify where or how I can view or verify the 5.1 audio channels in the Player in the latest versions?
Thank you in advance for your help!
How to verify 5.1 audio in DCP-o-matic Player 2.18?

It is something that's missing from the player, unfortunately.
There is a long-standing wish for VU meters which I am finally working on.
You can open the audio MXF file(s) (the smaller of the two MXFs for a single-reel DCP) using Audacity and use that to see the waveforms.
You can also play back the DCP and change the channel mappings in preferences to hear each channel, but it's not exactly easy.

I consider real-time VU meters useless, however, I'd like to see the audio analysis in DCP-o-matic player. I think there is an old mantis entry for that. It would also be nice to have LEQ(m) configurable in Verifier, so that loudness is written into the analysis report.
