Grok GPU JPEG2000 encoder for DCP-o-matic

Post by carl »

The Grok DCI Encoder for DCP-o-matic is now available from the Grok website. It works only with Ubuntu 24.04 and the latest test version of DCP-o-matic.

As a special launch offer you can use the code LAUNCH2024 at the checkout for a 20% discount!

Grok was developed and is supported by Aaron Boxer.

For more information, see the DCP-o-matic website.

Does it help with decoding?
So the player would work better?

I was hoping to try the grok encoder and wanted to check if there is any discount code available for grock encoder?

I have 2 machines which have NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 and GeForce RTX 2080 respectively. If i purchase the license then could I use it on both?

The idea is to speed up the encoding not just using grok but also by having 2 encode servers running and doing the job.

Kindly guide.
