Can we please make player in main SW verry unforgiving ;)

I just had a very interesting one. I have a file that plays fine in the main software but when I make the DCP there is an issue. I get dropped audio halfway through. I loaded the file into Reaolve and it picked up a problem. I'm not blaming the player in the main software but I get the feeling the editors export large masters that are too CPU-intensive to properly check. Wondering if we can make the player in the main program VERY fussy. Maybe it's too robust!

I guess you're talking about being fussy about input files? If so, I think the difficulty there would be that the world of video formats is so badly specified and generally all-over-the-place that it's hard to imagine how you could define what "fussy" means.

What problem did Resolve pick up?
