Thanks a lot Carsten.

By the way, do you know any tool that could be used to check the DCP bandwith and to see if there is some peak in the datarate ? Like a datarate viewer/graph ?

Thanks a lot in advance,
Cheers,

DCP-o-matic player does perform some checking, but it will probably not find that specific Doremi weakness, it only checks for compliance with the formal DCI spec codestream.

Hi guys,
just to follow up on this issue. Problem stays unsolved. I made another DCP from Resolve (Kakadu encoder) at 195MB/s and still, it doesn't play on their Doremi Server - DCP2000 (no error message, just got ejected from the playlist), but plays well on other servers (IMS3000). I thought it might have been an issue that occurred during the download, so I downloaded the DCP from my cloud, unzipped it and did a check again on DOM Player... no error found... and I guess such issue while downloading would have caused an error during the ingest...
Have no clue.

Best,

Yes, download errors would show as an error during player verification.

Kakadu is not known to cause these issues on Doremis if you don't push the bandwith, so, I have no idea. What you could do is to load this DCP into DCP-o-matic and recreate it from there - one using only rewrapping (default), and another one ticking the 'recompress' checkbox and setting it to 200MBit/s.

Problem stays unsolved. I made another DCP from Resolve
Is there anything else unusual about it? e.g. unusual number of audio channels, 25/30fps video etc.?

Thanks guys for your help.
Nothing special about the DCP : 2D, 5.1 audio.... just like the dozens I've done so far with no issue.
Unfortunately I won't have access to the Doremi server for a while and we ended up sending a QT file to another lab for the DCP so the mystery will probably stay unsolved. The only thing I can think of is that the crash occurs in the middle of a VFX with a quick transition between a full pink and saturated picture to an almost completely dark frame within a 5 images fade... But can this kind of transition in the signal be a source of crash for a decoder ?

Thanks again.
