This is a kind of supplemental question for my last post but works as a stand-alone question.
I've noticed DOM has 2 copies of the video files and one is bigger than the other, so not real copies just versions, or something like this. Interested in why this is.
In another post, Carsten says "Actually, usually the video folder does NOT hold an actual physical copy of the video content. After a straight conversion, it is just linked to the same file in the DCP folder. So, while it looks as if you consume twice the space, there is only ONE file occupying space. The folder size is misleading." https://dcpomatic.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... file#p9349. But they are different sizes, so how can it be a link, have I missed something?
I guess the reason there is only one 'copy' of the pcm xmf is that it is fairly quick to recreate so it's just in the DCP Package directory and if the DCP Package directory gets deleted it is just created from scratch.
Why 2 copies of the video mxf with diferent sizes?

If you have multiple MXF files in the video folder, it may be because you use more than one reel in your project, or, you have started more than one render with different image parameters. DCP-o-matic keeps every version for further speed-up of rendering. You may still delete them, as long as you are willing to invest the time for another full render process.
