Summary0003177: Wrong video encode when exporting DCP
Description

When I import a video/photo into DCP-O-Matic and create a DCP from it, then import another video/photo of the same length into the same project and create another DCP, the newly imported video is not encoded. Instead, the image data from the previously created DCP is copied over. This behavior also occurs when “Re-Encode JPEG2000 Data from input” is enabled.

The newly imported video should instead be fully re-encoded.

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Import a video (e.g. 10 seconds)
  2. make DCP
  3. Don't delete the DCP!
  4. import another video with exactly the same length
  5. rename and make DCP
  6. The new created DCP is the old video with the new name

Edit for reproduction:

  1. Don't delete the DCP or j2c-Folder!

To be clear, for step 4 you're keeping the same project open, removing the first video and adding another? And you're using 2.18.26?

You can keep the project open or save and close it first. It doesn't really matter.
I'm currently using 2.18.26 but it was the same in previous versions.

Can you send the log and metadata.xml files from the project, or attach them here? carl@dcpomatic.com

Unfortunately I still can't reproduce this... would it be possible to make a screencast of you reproducing it? Or could we do a zoom call to look at it?
